I'm A Pop Star
Words / Music: Gregg Hart

I drive a nice car, all around the town
I’m always crankin’ out all the very latest sounds
My lyrics are fluff. My music is fluff
But they have allowed me to buy a lot of stuff
I have a big place, though I’m never in town
Haven’t heard from my family, or was that the other way around
Gottalotta people they are all my best friends
Always hanging around when there is money to spend
Look at me,
I’m a pop star
I’m a radio star
And I’m so pop-u-lar
Cuz I’m a pop star!
Mother used to tell me about this God of hers
Don’t want no part of Him until I’m riding in a hearse
She said I seem unhappy, that I never ever smile
But I’ve gotta enough money to last me for a while
I went out to buy some happiness one day
So I bought up everything that money could pay
I told all my friends that my cash is all gone
They all disappeared; Guess I better write a new song
Are ya still lookin’ at me?
Well? Are ya?
I’m a pop star
I’m a radio star
And I’m so pop-u-lar
Cuz I’m a pop star

VERSE 1
Every day as I awake, and You give the sun its shine.
My mind is reminded of my fate, if You hadn't cared to take the time.
PRE-CHORUS
To craft a plan to save the world
to love enough, You came to die
to die for me so I would have
My life...
VERSE 2
In my mind I do believe, in my heart I have received.
And in my life you know what is best. I must learn to trust You with the rest.
REPEAT PRE-CHORUS
CHORUS
…was given to me
Without You I wouldn't be
My life was given to me
Without Love it wouldn't be
My life was given to me
Without You I wouldn't be
My life was given to me
Without Love it wouldn't be
BRIDGE
Some choose life...Some take life...Some ignore life,
But there is only One Who can give life! (Who can give life)
VERSE 3
My life is worth so much more, knowing I am part of Your plan
Christ's blood covers my sin through the core; a final masterpiece from His hand.
REPEAT PRE-CHORUS
REPEAT CHORUS
Can You

Can You see deep into my soul?
Can You see inside the hole?
Can You feel the ache in my soul?
Can You see me as if I’m whole?
Can You look beyond my pride?
Can You look deeper inside?
Can You feel the wounded pride?
Can You find me where I hide?
Can You know the depths of my pain?
Can You see beyond my chain?
Can You take from me the pain?
Can You see what I can’t explain?
Can You accept me for who I am?
Can You accept me for who I am?
Can You accept me for who I am?
Can You accept me for who I am?
REPEAT
You accept me for who I am.
You accept me for who I am, Lord.
You accept me for who I am.
You accept me for who I am.
You accept me for who I am.

Hey look at me
I’ve got something you need
It’s something brand new
Why don’t you get two?
If you want to succeed
You need to be like me
And use this every day
I’ll even help you pay
CHORUS
I’ve got something you want
I’ve got something you need
If in this life you’re gonna succeed
I’ve got something for you
And all you gotta do
Is listen to what I tell you
12 months no payments
A lifetime to pay
What are you waiting for?
Just fill out this form
You know you really need it
You cannot live without it
You will wonder how you got along
Would I really steer you wrong?
REPEAT CHORUS
CHORUS 2
I’ve got something you want
I’ve got something you need
If you just take the time to listen to me
I’ve got an apple for you
Come and take a bite or two
Who Will

Billy's on the street, he's got nothing to eat, no one to work for.
The economy was down in his small little town, the boss shut the door
He’s not to blame
Can anybody feel his shame?
Mary's all alone since her husband left her home with the children
Well how could she compete with that pretty young thing that he works with?
She’s not to blame
Can anybody feel her pain?
(as she’s crying)
(Chorus)
“Who will be my friend?
Who will be my friend?
Who will be my friend?
Be my friend?”
Johnny's not the same as the other boys and girls he goes to school with
His face is deformed and his family's rather poor, kids call him stupid.
He’s not to blame
Can anybody feel his pain?
(as he’s crying)
(Chorus 2x)
Will You heal my heart, it’s been torn all apart
Can You put it together again, Oh Lord
Together again, Jesus
Once again, My Lord
Together again!
(Final Chorus / Repeat 2x)
“Will you be my friend?
Will you be my friend, Oh Jesus?
Will you be my friend?
Be my friend?”
You know what it’s like to have nothing.
You know what it’s like to be hated.
You know what it’s like to be laughed at.
Hell Is For Good People

Music / Lyrics: Gregg Hart
Good people
Die every day
Some did not
Find their way
So close
And yet so far
So close
But no cigar
Went to church
All the time
Never did
Commit a crime
Had no time
To kneel and pray
Put it off
For another day
Another day may never come do not count on your good deeds
Because no one is perfect and no one is worthy
Do not think that you can slip on by
Let me tell you the reason why
Hell is for good people just like me
My sin nailed God’s son upon the tree
Hell is for good people just like you
And all who said one thing untrue
Helped people
All the time
Gave money
To the blind
Went to church
Twice a year
You said you listened
But did you hear?
For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son
He hung upon the cross and bled for all your sins / every one
He rose again on the third day
So that you might; you might be saved … because
Hell is for good people….

why do you whisper
is it because you’re scared
there is no need to fear me
let me be your source of peace
let me be your source of peace
I promise not to cause you pain
I promise not to walk away
why do you wander
is it because you’re lost
come and I will walk with you
Walk with me, I’ll show you the truth
Walk with me, I’ll show you the truth
I promise not to lead you wrong
I promise not to leave you lost
why do you wither
is it because you’re sad
there is no need to give up
let me turn your tears to trust
I can turn your tears to trust
I promise not to cause you pain
I promise not to walk away
I promise not to lead you wrong
I promise not to leave you lost
I promise not to let you die
I promise not to cloud your sky
The Path

Words and Music: Gregg Hart
Can you tell me why? Can anyone tell me why?
Why is life so difficult at all the wrong times?
What is it that we can do, Who is it we can go to?
Who can make a song when the lyrics do not rhyme?
It just makes no sense, at least not to me
I know I'm not blind, so why didn't I see?
You've told me to beware of the enemies snares
Yet here I am trapped, please set me free.
It just makes no sense, at least not to me
I know I'm not blind, so why didn't I see?
You've told me to beware of the enemies snares
Yet here I am trapped, Lord, please set me free. Set me free.
I promise not to cause you pain
I promise not to walk away
I promise not to lead you wrong
I promise not to leave you lost
I promise not to let you die
Can You please come make sense fall into it's place
I know it's here somewhere, it's just been displaced
I'll follow You, Holy God, as you guide me through life's facade
Down the trail of Your mercy and the path of Your grace.
Down the path of Your grace
Down the path of Your grace
Cannot Look Away

crouching in the shadows of words already said
shrouded in the darkness of things left undone
it is suffocating and it is lonesome
standing there seeing no end to my choices
did I go wrong somewhere?
did I miss the turn in my oblivious ways?
did I miss the voice or just neglect to hear it beyond my prideful boasting?
there has to be an end
there has to be a light
I cannot stumble much longer
I need a new day to end this night
then I felt the warmness of a gentle breeze
blowing away the chill within me
I saw a glimmer of hope illuminating what lay ahead of me
if only I could be there now
I lifted the heaviness that settled in my feet
and took the first big step toward change
I took the first big step….towards change!
my strength is heavy steps
Your strength puts my feet on air
my strength is heavy steps
Your strength puts my feet on air
Chorus:
I cannot look away from the light ahead of me
I cannot turn away from Your voice
there is a peace that comforts and stills me
and leads me out of the shadows
and brings me into the glory of Your light
emerging from the darkness I feel my soul made alive
I see the Son and He has brought to me new life
the child is waving goodbye I dare not look back
because I do not want to be where I was before
living in my death and away from Your love
pull me in and pull me closer
let me feel Your breath upon me
breathe on me breath of God
let me feel Your breath upon me
breathe on me breath of God
Repeat Chorus:
I cannot look away from the Son
and though the view is bright
I have never seen things more clearly
than what I see staring at the Son
I have never seen things more clearly
than when I find myself staring at the Son
Perfect Circle
© 2002 / 2021 Midiboy Music
Words: Joe Flint / Music: Gregg Hart
Innocence crucified / Human nature deified
The day the lots were cast / On the tree He breathed His last
Why did He have to do it / He didn’t have to go through it
But the stains go deeper than skin / He died because of my own sin
(Chorus)
The perfect circle is completed / Humanity regaining his paradise
And is free from blame / By calling out on Jesus’ name
Pain of death crucified / God and man are unified
The day the grave was bare / After death He has risen there
Why do we have to do it / With each sin put Him through it
As my stains go deeper than skin / He rose to wash away my sin
(Repeat Chorus 2x)
By calling now on Jesus’ name
(Bridge)
What can wash away my sin / Nothing but the blood of Jesus
What can wash away my sin / Nothing but the blood of Jesus
The perfect circle is completed
Why did He have to do it
He didn’t have to go through it
The perfect circle is completed
Why do we have to do it
With each sin put Him through it
The perfect circle is completed
The stains go deeper than skin
He died because of my own sin
The perfect circle is completed
The perfect circle is completed
The War Within
Words and Music: Gregg Hart
2021 Midiboy Music
Would I be happy if I had all the things that I want
Or should I be content with just the one thing that I need
It’s like I think that what I want is there but just out of reach
But then I stumble and I fall flat on my face and I bleed
But I love it
Yet I hate it
I should not love it
I need to hate it
The old me needs to die, needs to die.
I’ve been a liar, been a cheat, and there is no good in me
I’ve been sold as a slave to sin and iniquity
And what I want to do I do not do but hate what I do
I wanna do what is right, but I can’t do it without You
Because I love it
I want to hate it
Still You love me
But You hate this
The old me needs to die, every day! Every Day! Every day! Every Day!
There’s part of me that wants to do the things that You say
There’s part of me that wants to do things my own way
There’s a war inside of me that I cannot win
Only You can rescue me from all of my sin
Because You hate it.
You really hate it.
So You died for me
And rose again for me
You gave your all for me
You won the war in me
And I believe in You
Because You saved me, saved me, saved me, saved me.
Where Would I Be
(C)2006 / 2010 / 2021 Midiboy Music
Words: Gregg Hart
It isn’t about what I deserve, because if it was, I’d have no chance
Sometimes I’d run away if I thought I could, given the right circumstance
But I can’t, no I can’t, so I won’t, no I won’t, because I would not get too far
Everywhere I go, everywhere I look, every time of day, right there is where You are
Where would I be if You did not save me
Where would I be if You did not die
Where would I be if on the third day
From the grave You did not rise
If I were to get what I have coming, I couldn’t complain, justice would be served
But Your mercy, Oh God, and your grace, Oh Lord, they are never ever ever ever deserved
When your amazing grace came down, it saved me from my destiny
To You, oh Lord, my praise belongs, for you have made me see
Where I would be be if You did not save me
Where I would be if You did not die
Where I would be if on the third day
From the grave You did not rise
Where would I be if You did not save me
Where would I be if You did not die
Where would I be if on the third day
From the grave You did not rise
Where would I be if You did not save me
Where would I be if You did not die
Where would I be if on the third day
From the grave You did not rise
But You rose again!

My life has become a mess, overloaded with so much stress.
I can't see any way through. Tell me, is there anyone Who…
Can Reboot me. Reboot. Can I please start again?
Reboot. Reboot. How can I start again
I can't do this on my own. I can't do this all alone.
I need You to see me through. For You are the only one Who..
Can Reboot me. Reboot. Can I please start again?
Reboot. Reboot. Please help me start again. Yeah yeah!
I said Reboot me. Reboot. Can I please start again?
Reboot. Reboot. Please help me start again.
Reboot (x4)
Reboot. Reboot . Please help me start again.
(Reboot Reboot)
When the floods came crashing down, You rescued me so I did not drown.
(Reboot Reboot)
You gave Your life so I might live, But I have nothing worthy to give.
(Reboot Reboot)
Amazing grace how sweet the sound, I once was lost but now I am found.
(Reboot Reboot)
I once was blind but you saw me through, Because You are the only One Who..
Can Reboot me. Reboot. You helped me start again.
Reboot. Reboot. With You I could start again.
I said Reboot me. Reboot. You helped me start again.
Reboot. Reboot. With You I could start again.
Reboot Reboot. You helped me start again.
Reboot Reboot. With You I could start again.
Reboot Reboot. You helped me start again.
Reboot Reboot. With You I could start again.
Restore Me

I’ve been on this road for far too long
I’ve lost the melody to Your song
Trying to do this on my own
It’s no wonder I’m alone
I remember how it used to be
When I was young and first believed
I trusted You in all I did
But somewhere along the way I slid
Can You restore my first love?
Can You revive me again?
Show me Your unfailing love
Restore the joy of Your salvation
You’ve shown Your love to me again
Your more faithful than all my friends
You give me only that what’s good
Instead of giving me what You should
Can You restore my first love?
Can You revive me again?
Show me Your unfailing love
Restore the joy of Your salvation
Please restore to me my first love
Please revive me again
Please show me Your unfailing love
And restore the joy of Your salvation
Restore me
Restore me
Restore me
Back In The Box

You're laughin' and a braggin' as you take the lead
Never happy with just playin' the game
You need more money, so you take my deeds
Building hotels, chargin' rent insane
With just a roll of the dice, you could win or lose
Turn over a card is it bad or good?
Or you could go to jail if you roll another two
Sell off your hotels, cuz you know that you should...
Because it all goes back in the box when you're done
Doesn't matter what you win because it's just a silly game
You can't take it with you when the game is won
Win or lose, it doesn't matter, life goes on just the same…just the same.
Never satisfied you want more, more, more
Never happy with just being who you are
You need more money so your life can soar
Want a bigger house a more expensive car
With just a blink of an eye you could win or lose
Because you never know when these things will change
Doesn't take too long, just a second or two
Everything that you own could all just go away….
Because it all goes back in the box when you're done
Doesn't matter what you have, it doesn't change the game
You can't take it with you when all is said and done
Win or lose, what you've gathered stays behind just the same,,,just the same.
You can't take it with you. What will your reward be?
Did you live for the moment? Did you live to get things
But when this life is over, it only just begins
It's not what you live for, but Who lives within.
Cuz it all goes back in the box when you're done
Doesn't matter what you have, it doesn't change the game
You can't take it with you when all is said and done
Win or lose, it's Who you chose if you want to hear your name. (Repeat)

Growing up among the chaos of a broken home
Never really by myself but feeling all alone
I heard about the Lord, but didn’t know who He was
Learning how to live by what everybody else does
Thinking I was so much more than everybody else was
But the darkness all around seemed brighter than the light was
I had life all figured out, oh boy was I so smart
I met a girl, I fell in love, and then I broke her heart
Cuz I was in love with somebody else, we got married and had a kid
But things got worse in my life with all the things that I still hid
I knew my life was missing something and I needed more
I remembered what my mama said, when she said “Don’t deny the Lord.”
I knew that God was always there throughout my whole life
But I never went to church until that one day with my wife
The preacher gave a message that I felt was just for me
I heard what Jesus did for me that He died to set me free
I gave my life to God that day, I thought the struggle would soon end
Because the God I thought that didn’t care, He now called me friend
But like a candle being snuffed out in the wind
I let the darkness creep right back in.
For the first time ever, I doubted God was really there
In spite of all the evidence that He was everywhere
My life spiraled down, as my doubts piled up
I started praying dear God, don’t let me self-destruct
But then I read about Paul and that thorn he had in his side
Paul prayed but God did not remove it, but he knew deep down inside
That God always works things out, He works things out in His own time
And God has His reasons, and on God I can rely
So my faith in God grew once again, and life got even tougher
But I learned to help so many others, because of how I suffered
It was God’s amazing grace that washed my soul clean
And only God’s amazing grace could save a wretch like me.
